What is BMI?

The full form of BMI is Body Mass Index. It is an estimation of fat based on a person’s height and weight. BMI is a formula that approximates the fat and helps one to determine they are healthy or un-healthy

A high BMI is an indication of high fat levels in the body and a low BMI is an indication of low fat levels.

BMI for Adults

Adults above age 20 and older can measure their BMI based on the following standard status categories. These are the same for men and women of all ages and body types:
